Bio

Margaux Basch is a documentary filmmaker. In her films, she searches for ghosts: the spectres of a place, a time or a person. Her work explores themes of memory, exile and intimacy. In her documentaries she treats the image as a plastic material, creating in a variety of media: archive, animation, photography, computer-generated images...
She studied in Ireland at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD), then went on to do a Master's degree in documentary at the Institut National de l'Audiovisuel (INA), graduating in 2021. She is also an editor and assistant director.
