Bio

Based in Amsterdam, I am an interdisciplinary artist, working as choreographer and dancer, teacher and as well visual artist / film maker. I cherish the alchemy between different disciplines, while the human body and its visceral poetry remain at the centre of my work. I create dance and multidisciplinary performances and produce short films.
Throughout my career I've danced and toured internationally in the works of other makers and my own performative and visual work is being presented at festivals world wide; currently touring DREAMER - a poetic journey inspired by cycles and our innate connection to nature, traveling through an organism of live performance and film, in collaboration with the french saxophonist Antoine Viard. DREAMER has won the award for BEST INTERDISCIPLINARY LIVE PERFORMANCE at LensDans Festival Brussels 2023.
I've been collaborating with different musicians and, while working with an established structure, love to use improvisation in my performances.
My short films, eg.: BELE BELTZA, SILENT FRAGMENTS and LIGHT RISING have won various awards for BEST FILM and BEST PERFORMANCE / CHOREOGRAPHY. Visual work that I've produced has been featured in art magazines such a Clic.he and received Honorable Mentions.

THE DISAPPEARANCE OF TIME

An ode to the vastness and magnificence of the Earth
and a reflection on our relationship to nature and the eternal dance of disappearance and becoming.

*

THE DISAPPEARANCE OF TIME is a testament to the cyclical dance of life – of disappearance and becoming. Death giving way to birth, life and death intertwined.

The film speaks of the quiet resilience of the earth and our role as stewards of her future; the threads of her history woven into our very being and our story profoundly connected with her. Each grain of dust, each drop of water, telling a story of loss and rebirth, echoing the human experience.

Landscapes that once seemed eternal, fading, disappearing, with ever increasing speed, due to climate change and human impact. Glaciers melting. Their presence witness to an ancient time’s passage

THE DISAPPEARANCE OF TIME is an invitation to embrace our place within the timeless dance of life, echoing the truth that in every ending lies the promise of a new beginning.

Ultimately, it is a meditation on hope and that which survives beyond what we call death.
