Director Statement
Aeterna is a deep exploration of human existence and the realization of our insignificance within the vast, intricate web of life. This film visually and sonically articulates the intense emotions that arise when we confront the overwhelming complexity of the world and our seemingly minute place within it.
Inspired by introspective moments where I grappled with my own smallness, I sought to translate this feeling into a sensory experience that transcends traditional narratives. By merging choreography and cinematography, Aeterna creates a visual language that speaks to the impermanence and fragility of our human experience.
The film’s sonic landscape, crafted from layered interviews and distant whispers, reflects the fragmented nature of our thoughts and amplifies the sense of isolation we might feel when faced with our own insignificance.
